Welcome to the Clifftown Theatre & Studios website.
Built in 1865 with its magnificent gothic bell tower and stunning fascia, Clifftown United Reformed Church has been one of the finest sites in Southend for over a century. Purchased by the University of Essex in 2008, it has been transformed into a stunning state-of-the-art Theatre and performance space. With 5 rehearsal studios and a dynamic theatre space, Clifftown Theatre & Studios has given rise to a diverse range of shows, workshops, summer schools, community events and professional touring productions, and is home to the world renowned East 15 Acting School.

The Summer is on its way, and with it another cracking Season of productions here at The Clifftown Theatre.
Following last week's fantastic repertory of international theatre 'Marat / Sade' and 'AD2050' - our next show 'GO SOLO' promises to be a stunning collection of Physical Theatre solo pieces. Please see the 'What's On' section for more information and to book tickets.
